AT A GLANCE
Key points
- Keep the original packaging, parcel reference and photos together before disposing of anything.
- The official help text contains both a two-working-day evidence requirement and a 72-hour contact requirement; report promptly and ask which applies.
- Insurance depends on purchased cover, the selected route and its exclusions; documenting a problem does not guarantee payment.
If a Lovegobuy parcel arrives damaged or with an item missing, keep the packaging and document the problem before discarding anything. A useful report connects the delivered parcel, its expected contents and the issue you can actually show.
This checklist starts after delivery. For a parcel still in transit, use the tracking article. For an item still in the warehouse, the QC photo guide covers inspection and return questions before dispatch.
Keep the parcel and its contents together
Lovegobuy’s received-parcel help article, reviewed on 27 October 2026, asks for the original packaging and supporting records when a delivery problem is reported. Find it under After-sales Service → Items in abnormal conditions in the official article menu. If the Help Center’s article-list button asks for login, open the public shopping guide page and use its left-hand article menu.
Keep the outer carton or mailer, labels, seals, inner wrapping and any contents list. Save your purchase record and delivery date alongside the parcel reference. Where possible, photograph the packaging before opening it further and then photograph the contents as found. If the parcel is already open, describe that honestly.
The official page also advises checking visible damage with the delivery person and recording a remark or refusing acceptance. Ask the delivering carrier which procedure is available for your delivery; do not assume every service offers the same doorstep inspection or refusal process.
Match the evidence to the issue
The official article asks for different records for damage, missing goods, incorrect items and weight discrepancies. Use the following editorial checklist to organize those records; it is not an official claim form.
| Issue | Records to prepare |
|---|---|
| Damaged item | An overall item photo, close-ups of damage or stains, and the packaging condition |
| Missing items | Missing item’s order reference, contents list, everything received, packaging and available parcel-weight photos |
| Wrong style or labelled size | Full item photo, visible size label where present, and the ordered option recorded in your purchase |
| Weight concern | Available unopened parcel-weight photo, parcel label and the shipment’s recorded weight |
For weight concerns, Lovegobuy’s instructions ask for weighing before opening. If you missed that opportunity, do not present a later measurement as the unopened weight. Record what remains, state when it was weighed and ask whether other evidence is needed. A difference in weight alone does not identify which item is missing or establish who caused it.
Report promptly and clarify the two published time references
The same official received-parcel article gives two working days after delivery for certain packaging, invoice and photo evidence, while another paragraph requires contact within 72 hours after receipt for missing, damaged or defective goods. It does not clearly reconcile those requirements.
Do not treat them as interchangeable or assume a weekend automatically extends the 72-hour reference. Contact support as soon as the issue is found, preserve the delivery timestamp, and ask which reporting and evidence requirements apply to your case. Do not wait for a complete photo set before raising the initial problem; tell support what you can provide and request the remaining requirements.
Keep a copy of the report and the reply, including any requested follow-up date. These are the platform’s published instructions as reviewed, not a statement of every statutory right in your destination.
Check the insurance bought for this parcel
Lovegobuy’s insured-parcel compensation standard is under After-sales Service → After-Insurance Policy/ Compensation Rules. It makes cover conditional on insurance purchased when submitting the parcel and directs users to the selected route’s compensation information.
Check your parcel’s insurance record, insured amount, covered event and exclusions. The standard describes an insured cap and exclusions involving recipient-caused problems, including certain failures to collect or cooperate with clearance. It does not mean every damaged parcel receives a full refund. Save the applicable route terms and ask support to identify the clause used for your report.
Send one clear private support message
Adapt this example in Lovegobuy’s own support channel. Attach original records there; redact address labels and payment details before sharing anything publicly.
Parcel [reference] was delivered on [date and time]. I found [specific damage or missing item]. The affected order is [reference], with [expected option or quantity]; I received [observed contents]. I have kept the packaging and attached [records available]. The parcel was [opened/not opened] before weighing. Please confirm the reporting deadline, any further evidence needed and the applicable route or insurance terms.
Describe what you observed rather than assigning a cause you cannot verify. If support asks for another image, keep the original files and add the new view with a brief explanation. Record the proposed resolution, any return instruction and who must pay any stated return costs before sending goods back.
Common questions
I already opened the parcel. Can I still record the problem?
Keep the packaging and photograph its current condition, the contents and the specific issue. State that the parcel was already opened. Do not recreate an unopened weighing photo; explain which records you have and ask support what else is needed.
Does an unboxing video guarantee compensation?
No. The reviewed official help page requests photos and supporting records, but does not say that a video guarantees a claim. Preserve any original recording alongside the requested evidence and check the route’s insurance terms.
Is a missing item the same as a parcel that has not arrived?
No. This checklist concerns a delivered parcel with missing contents or damage. An undelivered parcel needs its tracking record and a delivery investigation; a quiet tracking page alone does not establish loss.
