Treat boxy and oversized as descriptions to investigate. Make a two-column note for chest width and body length, then add shoulder and sleeve measurements. That tells you more about the proportions than choosing the next size letter without a chart.
For an illustrative comparison, a tee measuring 58 cm across and 68 cm long is wider but shorter than one measuring 54 cm across and 72 cm long. These are editorial example numbers, not measurements of the selected products. Decide which proportion resembles the tee you actually want.
Read the T-shirt size chart before comparing sizes
Check whether the chart gives body measurements or finished garment measurements. Nike labels its men’s tops chart as body measurements. A directory seller may use another method, so copy the chart heading and units before you compare anything.
Lay a reference tee flat and measure without stretching it. Use the same sleeve starting point as the listing and note whether the body length includes the collar. For a long-sleeve tee, check the cuff and full sleeve measurement instead of borrowing a short-sleeve size assumption.

Check the print, collar and hem
Open front and back views to establish which design and colour the option includes. If graphic placement matters, request a clear photo showing the graphic within the whole garment rather than a cropped detail alone.
A photograph can show visible alignment or a collar shape, but it does not establish shrinkage, print durability or fabric feel. Use the current material and care information for further questions; this selection has not been wash-tested.

A wider chest does not necessarily mean a shorter body. Compare both measurements with a T-shirt you already like.
